Swahili Translator & Validator
Remote / Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
Full-time / Part-time
Localization
We are looking for a skilled Swahili translator to help localize our financial platform for the Tanzanian market. The ideal candidate will have excellent language skills in both English and Swahili, with a strong understanding of financial terminology.
Responsibilities:
Translate user interface elements, documentation, and marketing materials from English to Swahili
Validate existing translations for accuracy and cultural appropriateness
Develop and maintain a glossary of financial terms in Swahili
Collaborate with product and design teams to ensure localization quality
Review and improve machine translations when applicable
Requirements:
Native or near-native fluency in Swahili and English
Experience with translation and localization, particularly in financial or technical contexts
Excellent writing and communication skills
Attention to detail and commitment to quality
Understanding of Tanzanian financial systems and terminology is a plus
Experience with translation tools and software is beneficial
